The Xcel Forum on the Region 8 website contains answers to all Xcel-related questions (from coaches/judges). Two issues that have come up recently and caused some confusion are clarified below:
1) In Silver/Gold Bars, a pullover, cast backhip circle, cast backhip circle, cast squat on, will fulfill the 2 circling elements SR. Both backhip circles receive credit since the cast squat on is counted as a single element. The cast SR is also fulfilled.
2) In Bronze/Silver Floor, a run, run leap, assemble, tuck jump does fulfill the dance passage SR

A new ruling in the 2011-2012 Rules & Policies specifies that no communication devices (i.e., cell phones, ipads, computers) are allowed on the floor while judging.
