2006

NATIONAL JUDGES CUP

 

The 2006 National Judges Cup will be held on January 6-8 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.  If you have never attended a National Judges Cup, consider volunteering your time to judge this meet next year.  All the pertinent information to follow as the date gets closer.

DEB’S DEM CARDS

Enclosed is an order form for Debby Kornegay’s DEM cards.  Materials will be available by mid June.  If you plan to use money from your account with AL NAWGJ, write at the top of the page “USE AL NAWGJ MONEY”.    Fill out your form and mail to Debby Kornegay, 394 Stonebridge Road, Birmingham, AL  35210.  If you are not using AL NAWGJ Funds make sure to enclose a check for the amount you owe.  Remember, if you are interested in the Flash Cards, they go quickly.

CAMP-SMILE-A-MILE MEET

The annual Camp-Smile-A-Mile Meet was held at Armory Gymnastics in June.  Ben Morrow donated his gym for this meet which is put on to help disabled children go to camp.  The children receive a great benefit from this camp and for some of them it is the only time they get to be away and have fun.  Many thanks goes out to Ben and his great staff for volunteering their time and equipment for this really worthwhile event.  The judges also donated their time to make this meet happen.   Thanks to all that were involved.  I am sure you made a difference in some child’s life by you generosity.

PLEASE REMEMBER DURING THIS HECTIC SUMMER OF STUDY AND RECERTIFYING TO TAKE SOME TIME OUT TO JUST RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR FAMILY. SOMETIMES WE GET SO WRAPED UP IN WHAT IS GOING ON THAT WE FORGET ABOUT THE OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS IN OUR LIFE.
